I am a facilitator of learning. I believe that learning occurs inside and outside the classroom. I also believe that learning is personal and students’ learning experiences are unique and diverse. I want my engineering students to be active and engaged learners.

Research

My areas of research interests include engineering education and applied electromagnetics, particularly electromagnetic scattering and nondestructive evaluation, electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering, and electromagnetic properties of materials.

Service

I place value in developing socially engaged engineers. I want students to discover the real impact engineering has on people’s lives. That’s why I’m partnering with social organizations to develop projects that address the immediate needs of our local community.
